I think you mean the *Transocean* catastrophe. Deepwater Horizon was
owned and operated by Transocean, an American company. Haliburton were
responsible for some of the work on the sea bed and the blowout
preventer was made by an American company.

A pity the BBC can't make the distinction.

We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the
drugs began to take hold. I remember F news@nowhere saying something
like:

Who knows?
Perhaps the first person did. Then the rig went 'boom'.
