Chimney removal

The house i live in has the chimney smack bang in the middle of the
wall between the living room & dining room & obviously continues
uptairs between the front & back bedroom.

what i would like to know, if anybody can help, is how hard would it
be to remove the entire fireplace & rough costs involved

any advice gratefully received

thanks

I would suggest getting a building structure surveyor in to see if that
might be possible, as a first step. Often the chimney forms an integral
part of the stability of the building's structure.
