Cheapest way is to use an awful lot of it, or to borrow cylinders from someone (scrappies / construction) who does. If you're reduced to getting it from BOC, the gas is basically free and you pay most for cylinder rental. Go for the biggest you can deal with. An M (acetylene) and an X (oxygen) size will fit in a car or a Portapak trolley, but have rather more volume than the horribly expensive standard Portapak sets. |
