I just bought this and it was delivered today from Wolf, thanks for the
suggestion.

I think it is a quarter fitting (dunno much about these things) how do I go
about changing it for a more universal fitting? What do i need and also
where is a god place to buy the attachments for it.

Blimey, I'd forgotten all about it!

Just unscrew the fittings and bin them or give then to someone who uses
them. Pop down to Machine Mart (or W.H.Y.) and pick up a handful of assorted
PCL fittings to suit your requirements. They are mostly less than a quid
each. I'd look at some decent rubber air hose too. The braided plastic stuff
that ships with the compressor works OK, but will soon be getting on your
nerves especially in cold weather.

BTW I've just done a sandblasting and spraying job on some vintage machinery
and it worked a treat - very pleased indeed.

Machine Mart have plenty of rubber hoses available with differing lengths
etc - the assistant will help you if you're unsure)

Nerves - you'll probably find that the plastic stuff is too stiff on a
winter's day and tends to get caught up on itself, just like a cheap garden
hose pipe. Rubber stuff is _much_ nicer to work with, but I guess it really
depends how much you intend to use it.

For the money its a great compressor. I havent used the two bottle things I
got with it as I havent a clue what they are for to be honest. Although I am
goint to machine mart tomorrow to get the parts.

Sorry to be a pain Julian. Do I need a PCL connector for each attachment I
put on it.? Or does it go on the main body of the compressor. And what are
the bottle attachments for.

Sorry its all new to me I havent a clue on the bits I need.

The "Bottle things" will probably be a water trap for separating the
moisture out and the other an oil feeder for air powered tools that need a
fine feed of oil to keep them going.
Strangely enough they are usually referenced in the instructions with the
unit. ;-)

From a practical point of view you do. A 'PCL' male goes on each tool, and
that couples with the 'PCL' female on the end of the airline. Back at the
compressor you may want to put females on the outputs so you can disconnect
the hose. ISTR there are two oulets on this model, one is unregulated and
the other is, you'll be wanting the regulated output almost all the time.


Or does it go on the main body of the compressor. And what are
the bottle attachments for.

At a guess you have a small (poor quality) gravity fed spray gun and a
paraffin wash gun, (and a tyre inflator) It's the standard kid that always
seems to ship with compressors these days (I've now got 3 paraffin spray
guns!)

They won't be water traps and oilers. (as someone has suggested in another
reply) These are too expensive and arn't given away free with budget
compressors.

Yes, there is absolutely no reference whatsoever in the booklet that came
with it. I had to figure it out myself, even down to fitting the filter and
what oil to put in it 10W40. I called Wolf and he did say that the
instructions were poor, no reference to the paint sprayers etc.

OK, thanks mate will have a play and off to MM now.

Careful with putting oil in. Mine shipped with the sump already correctly
filled with oil - check the sightglass at the air output end towards the
bottom of the compressor, oil should be about 1/2 way up it. That was a
surprise to me as normally they ship dry and come with a small bottle of
compressor oil to add.
