Not being flippant but how about another bit of cable and a couple of coax connectors? Better to use f-type plugs and a barrel connecter. -- Graham. %Profound_observation% |

They do the cable by the metre too: http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CAPF100B.html If you buy this elsewhere be sure you get CA100 or PF100 type or full equivalent which has both copper foil and braid screens. CA100 is air cored, PF100 is foam cored which is more resistant to crushing or kinking. Lesser cables may not have the copper foil, or may substitute inferior aluminium foil or metalised film. The connectors quoted screw over the outer sheath once the braid has been doubled back and should form a tight fit. -- fred Plusnet - I hope you like vanilla |

I'd have done that for normal TV coax, but satellite has a much higher frequency and therefore requires a high quality, lower loss cable and connectors. Steve |

Steve Yep, but the cable is readilly available everywhere and only pence more than normal coax. And you can make do with normal coax connectors, technically not as good but they're fine in practice. |

But, on a short run you will be pushed to notice it. Sat. cable can be picked up by the metre in most good electrical shops and connectors are pence. £10 for the whole lot max. |
