Not being flippant but how about another bit of cable and a couple of coax
connectors?

two of these .

and one of these .

although you might prefer to get them elsewhere depending on where you are and
what the postage costs will be .

Better to use f-type plugs and a barrel connecter.

They do the cable by the metre too:
http://www.tlc-direct.co.uk/Products/CAPF100B.html
If you buy this elsewhere be sure you get CA100 or PF100 type or full
equivalent which has both copper foil and braid screens. CA100 is air
cored, PF100 is foam cored which is more resistant to crushing or kinking.
Lesser cables may not have the copper foil, or may substitute inferior
aluminium foil or metalised film. The connectors quoted screw over the
outer sheath once the braid has been doubled back and should form a tight
fit.

I'd have done that for normal TV coax, but satellite has a much higher
frequency and therefore requires a high quality, lower loss cable and
connectors.

Yep, but the cable is readilly available everywhere and only pence more than
normal coax. And you can make do with normal coax connectors, technically
not as good but they're fine in practice.

Yep, seriously, if its only between a couple of rooms and not a 50m run of
cable virtually anything will carry the signal albeit with degradation in
quality. But, on a short run you will be pushed to notice it. Sat. cable can
be picked up by the metre in most good electrical shops and connectors are
pence. £10 for the whole lot max.

Only rolls of 100m at local Wicks, will try focus this weekend!
