Ikea kitchens

There was a posting earlier this month to the effect that Ikea were
'totally changing the ranges (and putting up the prices a touch too). So
much so that they have been told not to give out any more "Kitchens
2006" brochures and that new ones will be available mid-Sept'.

I've been in Ikea today and they seem to have no knowledge of any
wholesale changes, just the normal August/September' tweaks.

Anyone able to confirm either version? I don't want to buy a kitchen
that will be immediately obsolete in terms of spare parts.

TIA

Well I've got the Ikea 2007 catalogue in front of me, don't know what the
old ranges were but the ones in this are

Arlig (white & beech)
Applad
Sorbo
Hallarum
Nexus
Stat
Rubrik (4 types)
Duvbo
Fagerland
Kalesbo
Adel (3 types)
Lidingo
Abstrakt
Liljestad
Tidaholm
Backebo
Ulriksdal
Askome
Linjar

The catalogue prices are valid until 8 July 2007 so would have thought they
should be stocking them to at least then

Pretty much what they told me but the posting earlier this month quoted
an Ikea employee.

I tend to take your view.
