Default Radiator Heat Output

In article , rob
writes
Can anyone help me to find the heat output from a radiator which is fitted
to the wall of a conservatory.

The size of the Rad is : 70 inches long x 30 inches high. The radiator is a
double type, with fins between the two panels. the width of the radiator is
about 4 inches

General information: Inlet and outlet pipe size is 15mm . 4 Bedroom house +
the conservatory

There must be some sort of formula to work out these sort of things

Bob

This link is to a brochure for Stelrad Elite radiators and has the figures you
are looking for (it's a 500k pdf) :

http://www.stelrad.com/PDF/elite.pdf

alternatively find the nearest radiator to your size he

http://www.discountedheating.co.uk/s..._Catalogue_Sea
m_Top_Radiators_141.html

you'll need to undo the wrap

Stelrad figures are still quoted for ridiculously high water flow temperatures,
derate by 20-40% for those living in the real world

Note that it makes quite a difference if there are 2 sets of fins between the
panels or 1.
