To zone or not to zone, that is the question!
Having gone sealed with the help of Ed's faq, I now need to have individual
control of all my rooms down stairs. Why? Because my 84 year old mother lives with us and we need different temps in different rooms at different times of the day. One option is underfloor heating, we have suspended wooden floors downstairs. Another is this gadget from Caleffi, but I can't translate from the Italian (even with Babelfish) so I don't know if it can be used on a radiator type system. http://www.caleffi.com/en_IT/caleffi...s/GPG_0504.pdf item 663 DISTRIBUTION MANIFOLDS WITH SHUT-OFF AND REGULATING VALVES Pre-assembled distribution manifold consisting of: - 1 return distribution manifold complete with built-in shut-off valves suitable for thermo-electric actuator; - 1 flow distribution manifold complete with regulating valves; - 2 brackets 658100 code; - 2 reducing fittings 1 1/4" M x 1" F 364276 code; - 2 head connections with caps 599473 code. Any comments? Francis |
