Split load CU and PME ?

Is it permissible to have a new CU on a PME system ?

Friend wants to replace CU with a split load unit so he can separate power
and light
circuits, and/but he has a PME system.

Thanks,
Nick

Yes, it's quite normal.

Friend wants to replace CU with a split load unit so he can separate power
and light circuits, and/but he has a PME system.

If it werent, those of us on PME would still be using switch fuses and
waxed paper cable.
