Slippery tiles - is there a non-slip coating available?

My kitchen tiles are pretty slippery (not sure what they're made of,
some kind of brown stone) - is there any kind of substance that I can
buy which, when applied, will give them a permanent non-slip coating?

Thanks

Google for "non slip floor tile coating" and you will get a selection of
sites in USA and UK

Then try screwfix or your local builders merchant for supply.
