Replace missing caps for fuse holders.
I have an Adcom GFA-555II that has four missing caps for the fuse holders.
There is one cap that is not missing and the circumference of the metal ring is 8.5mm and 11.4 mm for the plastic cap that holds the metal part. The cap itself sits flush with the holder when screwed all the way in. Of course it would be much easier to find replacement caps then to replace the entire assembly that's buried at the bottom of the chassis. Does anybody know a source for a screw type fuse cap for an AGC style fuse? Thanks for your reply. -- David Farber David Farber's Service Center L.A., CA |

Replace missing caps for fuse holders.
"William Sommerwerck" wrote in message ... Wouldn't the easiest thing be to find a complete matching fuse holder, and use just the cap? ----- The Lady from Philadelphia I've never seen fuse-holder caps sold separately. Yes. I'd be fine with that and I should have made that more clear. Thanks for your reply. -- David Farber L.A., CA |

Replace missing caps for fuse holders.
It all depends on the make and model of the fuseholder. I believe that
Littlefuse does sell the fuse caps seperately on certain models of their fuseholders. |

Does anybody know a source for a screw type fuse cap for an AGC style fuse? They would have to be the same brand of fuseholder. Can you see any markings on the remaining cap, or one of the fuseholder bodies? The only excess I have right now are the square red Littelfuse push in caps: http://media.digikey.com/pdf/Data%20Sheets/Littelfuse%20PDFs/348%20Series%20Drawing.pdf According to my files, I still have 120 of them. -- Greed is the root of all eBay. |

Hi Michael, I found that the markings say EDK. Here is a photo of it I found online. http://gridchoice.com/catalog/popup_image.php?pID=1021 Unfortunately, it seems they only have one in stock. Newark has a wide selection of fuse holders of all types Newark http://www.newark.com/jsp/search/res...sRedirect=true or Mouser http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine....rd=fuse+holder Excess Solutions have some fuse caps and holders http://www.excesssolutions.com/cgi-b...category=13000 The kind that you are apperently looking for was generally called an extractor post. Many supply houses have them. Finding the exact type is the biggest problem so be sure that you look for the proper fuse type IE: 3AG etc carrier. Gnack |
