Default Sony CDP C245 , 5 disc carousel

Drawer jamming or not opening with a rubbing noise in the background.
Probably due to the toothed belt slipping on the motor pulley because the
spindle of the driven pulley or its "bearing" has worn and allows the 2cnd
pulley to tilt over. At the moment I intend packing out the gap, into which
the pulley tilts, with a couple of PTFE blocks. Any other ideas ? belt has
not stretched.
No proper bearing as the plastic pulley shaft just goes through a thickened
boss of the plastic chassis.
The tilting does not seem to disengage, from the 4th, the 3rd cog on the
other end of the 2cnd cog shaft
