Not too tough to do. Butane boils at -0.5 deg. C. If you remove the
top of the lighter and unscrew the gas adjusting valve you can usually
get access to fill them. Chill the lighter thouroughly in a freeser and
chill the can of butane lighter gas to just below freezing. *WORKING
OUTSIDE AWAY FROM BUILDINGS AMD IGNITION SOURCES* and wearing a
household glove on the hand holding the lighter so you dont get frost
burns, use the largest adaptor on the liter gas to fill the lighter.
Now you have to get the wick and the porous disk back in while the gas
is merrily boiling in the lighter (unless you got it really cold). Then
screw the valve back in and refit the bits in the top of the lighter.
Once it has reached room temperature, adjust the flame size and refit
the control lever if a satisfactory flame cannot be achived. Make sure
you leak test it in a bowl of water before you take it inside.
