Minarik controllers anyone?
a friend and I picked up a big pile of Minarik controllers last week - I'm
sorting through them now, some are damaged, some appear new, I found a nice 3 phase VFD that I'm now using (but there don't appear to be any more working ones of that), lots of boards. the controllers I've identified are all for various types of DC motors. For example, I have sitting here a couple of the RG500 series and an RG51U. I'm not going to be able to test all of these, though I may be able to test some of them - if you are interested, contact me off the list - prices will vary - "unknown" boards will be $1 to $10, repairable controllers will be $10 to $20, ("non-repairable" will be cheaper), and anything that I am reasonably sure will work will be a little more, but never more than half of list (for a testing and workng one), probably a lot less. for example, I have a couple of MM2000 controllers (manual is here http://www.minarikcorp.com/PDFs/250-0089.pdf) that appear to be new - those will be $35 each If you have some interest in any of these, contact me off the list by unmangling my email, below. As I figure out what I really have, they will go on to E-bay and probably be more expensive. -- Bill to Email me, repair this address and use it: william_ b_ noble at msn dot com also check out http://www.wbnoble.com |

They came out of CNC lathes, and the tachs and encoders are bad, but should run fine on the drives as DC motors I dont know what 600 inch pounds works out to in hp though... Put me down for one. I've tested the pile I brought home with me, here is an update on what works
and some prices. Note that I didn't do a full factory test, I connected power and a small (.2 amp) DC gear motor and made sure that the controller would operate the motor properly. It is possible that there are subtle problems that this qauick test wouldn't pick up, but at least it separates the "repairable" from the working. The following work MM22000A - 0ne availalbe (one reserved for gunner) $35 RG300U - one available, $48 RG51U - one available, $25 RG500UA - one available, $55 The following don't work, but are in my opinion repairable - they produce field voltage (if applicable) but don't drive the motor properly: MMRGD10-230AC (this is a very cool controller, if it worked, I replaced the SCRs, but it's still inop) $12 RG300UA - missing a couple of 2K resistors so I can't complete the test $15 Mystery controller (Minarik), similar to the RG500, but a bit larger, no heatsink, digital speed select. three of these $8 ea, one missing some SCRs (that I used on the RG10D above) and some other parts $2 XA970207 - I suspect the diode bridge, will experiment later $12 MAC03 series AC controller, missing a capacitor, a resistor, and a transistor - very nice VFD (if it works), $18 The following doesn't work and is probably not repairable, but may be good for parts MAC08 series, no heatsink, missing a capacitor, a several surface mounted parts exploded. this is an AC VFD, the CPU is probably OK, the power light operates like it should, but I'm not going to try and replace the surface mount parts. This would be useful if you have another MAC08 series drive (it is not the PWM variant of this drive). $4 I'll post more info when I get into the next box of stuff Oh yeah, and there is a mystery controller that I put up on E-bay, he http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=3862181288 As before, contact me off the list if you are interested in anything. I have now tested a big pile of MM23012D controllers - I have 41 working
ones - $35 each, or 5 for $100. These are 115/230 input controllers for DC motors, 0-90 or 0-180 V armature, 1.5 amps. Nice small controllers, manal on minarik's web site. As before, contact me off the list if interested.
