Leave others out of it -- just do it to yourself. Actually it's exceedingly common for a distraught and depressed parent to take their life and their kids along with them. Driving into a lake seems to be a common choice of methods since you can take out the whole family with one sudden impulsive move. Drowning is ranked as 10th most common method of suicide. There was an A.P. news article in the newspaper yesterday about someone in Sweden attacking a school with a sword and killing and wounding some teachers and students. And, can you imagine? Those nasty Swedish cops shot the poor man! Inhuman cruelty! Why, if such a thing happened in America the police would be put on trial for firing their gun inside the city limits, or some such thing. -- cheers, John B. |

Yes, if nothing else executing criminals thins the ranks somewhat. Singapore, for example, has a law that for possession of certain drugs in an amount of more than a very small specific amount the penalty is hanging. Under Singapore law a condemned person may appeal to the President of the Republic who may, issue a pardon, require a re-trial, or simply ignore the request. For possession of a smaller than the specified amount it is a term in prison and at last look the prisoners still slept on the floor of their cell, on a straw mat. Singapore has relatively little crime. and drug use is rated as one of the lowest in the world. For both cannibals and opiates the rate is 0.004%. The U.S. rates 13.7 and 0.57% I believe. -- cheers, John B. |

Goodness, I'll have to imprison my spell checker :-) "Cannibals" should have been spelled "cannabis". You shouldn't post when you're hungry. ;-) He just wanted to serve his fellow man. Isn't that the motto of the Alferd Packer Memorial Dining Hall, somewhere in Colorado? tschus pyotr -- pyotr Job creation and destruction are both relentless. The small difference between the two is what we call prosperity. |

Martin That sounds like the Dayak tribes in both the northern and southern parts in Kalimantan. There is an old guy, been kicking around the oil business in Asia for years, married to a Dayak woman and they sometimes visit her family and stay in the long house. He said that there are still heads hanging in the rafters :-) On 10/25/2015 2:40 AM, John B. wrote: On Sat, 24 Oct 2015 10:10:08 -0400, "Jim Wilkins" wrote: "Michael A. Terrell" wrote in message ...
