No "one" person can describe some group of 3,000 + or - people along with each of their individual purposes. Slam jon if you want, but leave the other people out of it, OK? Especially when talking to trolls who could care less about/ and may as well have never addressed the group's topic.

Nobody did, Lightnin'. Learn to read more carefully.

I have known a couple of those people myself, during my 40 years of
reporting on metalworking manufacturing. I know a lot more about them
than you do. The ones who really are in leadership positions are good
promoters of their products and services -- as they should be. That's
what they're using Jon and his "group" for. He's a free source of
promotion for them.

Some of the little people, on the other hand, tend to like slamming
others' products. That's what Jon does. In his case, though, he
usually has no idea what he's slamming, as you'd know if you followed
the numerous quotes that we post here. He's a provocateur. There is no
possible way that he really understands all of the products about
which he makes these sweeping condemnations. The real experts know
this, as you'll see if you search on "jon banquer" in Google and read
some of the threads. Over the past decade, they've torn him a new
asshole at least 20 times.

Jon can't survive in an open forum without turning into a vicious,
biting little animal. That's why LinkedIn is so good for him. As you'd
learn if you checked some of the threads on alt.machines.cnc, Jon just
deletes any posts that criticize his pronouncements on LinkedIn.
That's what he needs. And that's where he should stay.

Slam jon if you want, but leave the other people out of it, OK?

Up yours. You don't know what you're talking about.

Especially when talking to trolls who could care less about/ and may as well have never addressed the group's topic.

Lightnin', there is no one in this thread whom Bonkers hasn't
slandered, belittled, or otherwise attacked first. He's emotionally
disturbed in a vicious way, and the only way to keep a lid on him is
to throw it right back at him.

Speaking of expertise, have you found any examples of wrought aluminum
burning in air lately? g

PV, I don't know if you missed the origins of all of these conflicts,
or if you just decided to ignore them. It isn't because Gunner tells
"tall tales." It's because he's insulted, slandered, tried to
humiliate, and threatened every one of them -- myself included. A few
people (myself included) just got fed up with his vile and dishonest
style of argument, and his whole approach to sharp disagreements is
now the subject. As an inveterate bull****ter, Gunner takes the heat
for it. Like Jonny Bonkers, he's just reaping what he's sown.

It really starts with attitudes towards civility. You either have it
by age 10, or you don't. It's hard to see it now -- it's degenerated
so much that the entire battle is kind of dirty -- but there's no
doubt how it started and where it came from. He's never let up: anyone
he disagrees with is a "libtard," a "Marxist," "gay," or worse.

He lacks the ability to disagree in a civil way and, as a result, he
argues like white trash. His threats to have people killed actually
are criminal. Probably because of the company he keeps, or the
environment he's in, he's deluded himself that he's managed to skirt
the law with his many threats, which are hardly veiled. He's wrong. It
isn't "banter" when you get specific about weapons to be used and
people on a "list" to be killed. If someone really got upset about it,
it wouldn't be hard to have Gunner investigated for terroristic
threats.

So recognize where the divide is. People who are basically civil can
sometimes get really heated and insulting. White trash tell you you're
on a "list" of people his "friends" are going to shoot and kill.

And you have to admit, Whoyakidding's Cliffs Notes have a genuine
literary quality. d8-)

Nice summary, Ed. But PV knows every word of it already. He doesn't
care, he has his own bashing to do and it will be entertaining to see
how many more ludicrous 125=256 excuses he can come up along the way.

BTW, I have a very fast bike, a lot of riding experience, and live
where I can occasionally open the throttle. I've been over 125 a
couple times recently while passing. It in no way made me feel
entitled to say I'd gone 256, because that would be stupid and nobody
would believe it.

Ultimately most people here (less the Castradis) believe you as little as they believe Gummer. The difference is that your lies are motivated totally by malice. You are a hero in your own mind.

He seems to have forgotten I never said I went that fast in the 1/4
mile. Took me a mile to get up to that speed..another mile or 2 to
shut her down..and I stated that I limped back to the start
slowly..while my heart beat came down from Turbo Speed. And I nicely
stated I didnt..didnt want a second run.

But NAOOOoooo! Nobody can go that fast on a motorcycle!! Snicker...

http://www.fastestmotorcycle.org/

As I stated clearly..it was a custom bike..by a custom builder who I
happen to know..who was passing through and wanted me to try his
latest toy. Which I did. Glad I did! I wont ever do it again..Im too
damned old...getting her up there was easy..that last mile or two..was
all flashes in my head of what Id look like if she came apart. Old
age is a bitch. Youth and stupidity go together nicely. Age and
realism...thats the gut buster. Ive got leathers and riding gear of
all sorts..I used to flat track a gazillion years ago..and have ridden
a bazillion miles on hiways all across this country..and Canada and
Mexico..and a sizable fraction of that on dirt in 5 different
states..so riding a scooter is not..not unfamiliar territory to me.
That being said...Im just tickled ****less to have my old BMW R90/6
and am looking forwards to the Triumph with sidecar. 75-80 mph is more
than fast enough for me these days..more than fast enough.

VERY dangerous to go over even 75 mph on, say, the Deegan without these stabilizers/fairings.

Rubbish. Lots of fast, safe bikes have neither. Mine is rev limited to
a top speed of 160 IIRC. You're doing the same thing Wieber does,
taking old limited knowledge and using it to make **** up. I think
Wieber had an old 600cc boxer. Those were something like 45hp. I'm
beginning to wonder if your experience is about the same.

Maybe these guys lack experience too?

Oscillation is a desireable action... if you're on a swing at the park. It's a nasty action at 75mph on a motorcycle, and shag nasty at 160. We spoke with Jason DiSalvo's 2009 AMA Crew Chief, Michael Tjon Sien Kie, about "head shake" and the steering stabilizers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RP-UfUrymY4
Funny, they mentioned the same 75 mph I did.

There is a one word explanation: resonance. Look it up in wiki.
Different road conditions will set up different resonances in different bikes.

What's funny, oblivious, is how authoritative you are, ALL the time.
And did you ever bother to think, Gee, just why do people use these? They're even used on bicycles.

But, Oblivious, feel free not to use one, and please please go as fast as you can.

My R90/6 has a dampener on the headset that gets used over 55 mph.
Balanced front fork, balanced rear suspension...still use that
dampener. Even with fresh Avons on it. Doesnt really "need" it until
ya get up over 80..but..its nice to know that its there..particularly
on long straight desert roads with a bit of a cracked crown and the
occasional heat generated "speed bump" where they were careless about
starting a new course of asphalt.....

The Royal Enfield- Super Meteor/Indian Chief 700..dont think it will
go much over 110 at most..but she is a 50 yr old bike..and will get
babied like a new grandchild. Same with the new to me 72 Triumph 650
and sidehack. Treasures to bob around town and take short road trips
on...not custom bikes built for" anus vacuum stuck to the seat at a
bazillion miles an hour" rides

You never rode a motorcycle at 264mph on a public highway - period.

Cut the bull****, bitch.

He never rode "scooters" a million miles either. He's a ridiculous
liar, and his habit of covering up one lie with transparent
elaboration and several more lies is insane.
