The CRA: government-mandated theft from depositors

CRA forces banks to make loans that are not as profitable. That means a
reduced return on deposit balances. That's stealing from depositors.

The evidence shows the opposite is true.
Honest bankers lend locally and do better.
Corrupt bankers make less profit because they
are benefiting indirectly from their lending
patterns.

reduced return on deposit balances.

The evidence shows the opposite is true.

Banks don't make loans. Banks create new
money and give it to people who promise to
pay it back. Banks call this a loan.
The public gives them this privilege to
create money from nothing.

If the public gave me the privilege to create
money which I then collect interest on, it
seems only reasonable to do something for
the public in return.

No, it doesn't. CRA loans are loans that are not high quality loans.
If they were high quality loans, no law would be needed to compel them.
Being lower quality means lower return, which is stealing from depositors.

False. Honest bankers will tell you
local lending is more profitable.

Corrupt bankers will tell you anything.

No, true.

Honest bankers

Ha ha ha ha ha!

will tell you
local lending is more profitable.

Stop lying. If the "local" loans were more profitable, the banks would
have made them.

If you allow corrupt bankers to steal then
the banker will make more money but the bank
won't.

IF you allow burglars to steal their lives will
also be more profitable.

When a bank takes deposits in a community and
makes loans in the banker's community, that
is stealing from the depositors.

The Community Reinvestment Act exposes theft
so that depositors can avoid banks that steal.

Stop lying. Seeking the most profitable mortgage opportunities is not
corruption.

Stealing is corruption. If the banker is not
ashamed of what he is doing then he won't
mind letting the depositors know where
he is making loans.

It doesn't happen with honest bankers.
It does happen with corrupt bankers.

Stop lying. Seeking the best opportunities for lending is neither
stealing nor corruption.

CRA was a fake attempt to address a fake "problem." There was no
"redlining." Deadbeats wanted credit, didn't qualify for it, and
contrived a bull**** "discrimination" basis for agitating for government
to force banks to lend to deadbeats.

It led to the housing market debacle.

It never happened, period.

Your "honest bankers" hokum doesn't fool anyone.
