Since manufacturing is dying in Califronia..Im now making about 1/3 of

what I used to. I sadly either auction off my clients, or pack them

up and move them out of state..to the tune of 25 or so in the last 3

yrs.

I too have been looking for work..sending out resumes. 65 of them so

far. Ive had (3) companies want to hire me for Road Warrior, fixing

machinery and transportation by commerical airliner..with road time

being 25 days a month..or more. Ive turned them down. Im 60, and I

frankly dont want to die on the road. A 8-10 hour job within 40 miles

is what Im looking for.

Im absolutely surprised by how few companies have contacted me. Ive

been applying for maintenance or tech jobs locally and getting Zero

calls for interview. Yet I would be a perfect fit for 95% of them,

electric motors, VFDs, pneumantic and the like. I could take off

running the first day. And I prefer night shifts. Shrug

My resume does NOT mention my age..so I dont have a clue why Im not

getting any responses. Several temp job agencies like Kelly cant

understand it either. They reviewed my paperwork, my resume and

declared them to be "Great! Good Job!"

Manufacturing isn't dying in California. What's dying are the kinds of low tech machine shops that Mark Wieber does business with.

Does this shop look like it's dying?

How about this one?

How many more would you like me to list that are busier than they have ever been?

As per usual Mark Wieber is full of ****/lies.
