Default Short the switch boxes?

Ok, metalworking guys...

Remember those switch boxes that sat under the monitor
(way back last century?)
Switches for Computer, Monitor, Printer, Aux, ?
Sockets in the back for plugs.
They are about a foot square and a couple of inches tall.

I'd like to cut a couple of them in half length-wise to
fit under a flat screen monitor.

I'm looking for some odd ideas on how to do that.
My bandsaw won't cut steel. All I have that can do that
is abrasive cut-off wheels )or maybe a hack saw! shudder).

Kinda sloppy for this I think.
