This group seems to have transformed almost fully into the "let me rant
about this or that political BS" but seems to still have a few on-topic
posts here and there.

Does anyone know if alt.rec.crafts.metalworking is alive or not? Seems
to be dead quiet and ripe for the picking for those of us that do want
to talk metalworking...

A lot of news servers have dropped access to the alt.* groups.

Stop complaining and start your own machining group on LinkedIn. Get EA involved so I have someone that will interest me, amuse me, **** me the **** off, etc.

I did this for CADCAM and with my years of CADCAM industry connections my LinkedIn group has taken off like a bat out of hell:

Joe, you probably run into more of the most interesting metalworking
situations. I think you should post more, even if it's old hat for you.
The political stuff is just placeholders for good, brain exercising
problems and challenges.

If you hadn't started cross posting to political and gun groups years ago there would be far more metalworking content than there is now. That you refuse to accept the blame for this is typical of how you and your cult of idiots think, Wieber.

Alt is almost dead. Rare if posted to.

The 'alt' to many people means something off color / not normal. Often
not supported by ISP's - as - foundry work is in it - lost out.

Well, I don't think I'm at the cutting edge of the knowledge base or
anything... But I really don't know what you folks would like to hear
about typically.

If I had the time, I'd post a list and short description of each
application that comes across my desk as it would certainly start some
pretty cool conversations. ...All I need now is a spare two or three
hours a day to organize that properly.

Why? Nobody else is organized, what makes you so special?

I often post when I get stuck or I know there's a better way but can't
put my finger on it. Sometimes, just to show a recent project with the
challenges and solutions.

Wouldn't it be cool if you didn't inherit your brush business from your parents and you had to actually use your brain to make it on your own?

I should have clarified that.

"Metalwork chained to a leg and then push them off the pier or canal

I have no experience in "WIFE BEATING" and I've never been convicted of a felony in my life. I have been subject to a false arrest where all false charges were dismissed in court.

As per usual, when Tom Gardner is faced with facts about who and what he is, he decides he has no choice but to lie.

Tom Gardner is already drowning along with the Pimple... in alcohol.

Since both are already drowning will this save them from the false death treats you love to make but can never back up?

I am awake and have paid attention. But when you are critical of a shop, I want to see what you have that is better. Some other persons shop really does not count. I guess that concept is beyond you.

Who the **** are you to judge me and insist that because I have access to several machine shops (meaning I have the keys) and can use their machine tools anytime I want that this "really does not count."?

You wish you had what I have access to. That you don't and you're jealous is your problem not mine.

Click "Message", then "Create Filter from Message". It should be all
ready with the "From" "Email" "email address" fields showing, with the
action being "Delete".

Click OK, then whatever the next screen tells you (which won't end up
doing anything).

The action should be automatic the next time you refresh, or you can
initiate it immediately by going to the main menu and hitting "Tools",
"Run Filters on Folder". Give it a half a minute (at most) and you
should see the bozo magically disappear from sight (until another bozo
replies to it).
