I want occasionally to bend a piece of flat bar no more than 6" wide, and
3/8" thick. Sometimes if is a random angle, and sometimes, standard 45 and
90s. Are there dies available that I can put in a bench press with a
hydraulic pump, and make these pieces when I need them? Are any readily
available, or what would it cost for a machinist to make me a set that would
do up to 90 deg? They got that stuff @ HF?

Some of those are pretty well done! Time for me to build one!

The methodology of the left has always been:

1. Lie
2. Repeat the lie as many times as possible
3. Have as many people repeat the lie as often as possible
4. Eventually, the uninformed believe the lie
5. The lie will then be made into some form oflaw
6. Then everyone must conform to the lie

TY, TY, TY. I really liked some of the welding sequences, particularly in
the second one. This is exactly what I'm thinking about, as many times,
fabrication can only go do far with stock pieces, or when you need something
to an odd angle. These would be easy to make, and cheap, cheap, cheap.

You're going to need one serious jack for that. I have a 20 ton on my
press and I'm sure that it won't handle anything close to 3/8 x 6. You
could check the specs on commercial press brakes to see what can be bent
with different jacks.
