And I have the flash gun to use those. (But none of the bulbs
anymore.)

Want some?

Actually -- yes, a few -- if only to show people how it *used*
to be. :-)

I actually started with the No. 5 flashbulbs, and only later got
equipment which would handle the larger ones. I also got some demerits
at school from using one. :-)

I loved replacing overhead bulbs with them. They screwed right into an
edison lamp base and when you hit them with 120 volts..they were
Bright!!

Bright, yet -- but they didn't seem to last very long. :-) (And
the one in question above went off about 10" in front of the face of one
of the instructors expecting a dark room. :-)

Also learned a couple tricks from an old arson investigator. He said
it was a specialists trick to grind a hole in one and fill it about
half full of gasoline, plug the hole and screw it into one or more
lamps. When the victim came home and turned on the lights...WOOOF!!!!

Intersting -- and nasty. That sounds more like an
anti-personnel use than a way to be elsewhere when the fire started.

Ill see about digging some out. Do I have your snail mail addy?

You should still -- from the Whiz Wheel (Santec E6-B air
navigation computer) and the platinum resistance temperature probes. If
not, send me an e-mail after fixing my address as explained below in my
..sig for a fresh one. (Especially since this is still cross-posted to
two newsgroups -- O.K. That at least is now fixed to go to
Rec.crafts.metalworking only. :-)

Enjoy,
DoN.
