Seattle sights?
What interesting plant tours, museums, and shops exist in the
metalworking line in Seattle? I recall there was a Boeing plant tour; very impressive for scale but not much resembling a home workshop. There was a Boeing museum with a few things. Bob |

I recall there was a Boeing plant tour; very impressive for scale but not much resembling a home workshop. There was a Boeing museum with a few things. There is the Boeing Museum of Flight "down south" - lots of airplanes, not much on the manufacturing side. The Museum of Science and Industry is near the University. Fascinating in its own way. Renton Technical College is also a good place to drop in. Tell Dr Martinez that Carlin and Peter say hi. tschus pyotr -- pyotr Go not to the Net for answers, for it will tell you Yes and no. And you are a bloody fool, only an ignorant cretin would even ask the question, forty two, 47, the second door, and how many blonde lawyers does it take to change a lightbulb. |

I'm not sure if either outfit has plant tours. Boeing is the only one that does for sure. Boeing's main plant is in Everett (a 20 minute drive north of Seattle) and Boeing's Museum of Flight is in Seattle. -- Paul Hovnanian ------------------------------------------------------------------ politics; n, from the Greek 'poly' meaning many and 'ticks', small annoying blood suckers. |
