Default If one is NOT violating the separation of Church and Government, then the other would be equally fair in the opposite direction wouldn't it?

No. I am saying that churches aren't providing contraceptives, nor
are they paying any cost for contraceptives under the compromise.

Many if not most Catholic institutions are self insured. That means that
the Catholic Church would pay directly for birth control. It's not so
much the"Pill" that is the problem, it's any form of birth control that
permits fertilization yet blocks implantation. That's considered
abortion by the Church.

I agree that self-insured religious institutions' exercise of religion
is implicated even under the compromise, although I don't have a good
feel how such a case would be decided.

You don't have a 'feel'?

What isn't clear about Amendment I? It is only a few lines, should be
simple enough to comprehend so that you can get a feel.

Or are you relying on something else that muddies it all up for you?

Come on dude, pull your head out!!!

It's like Quakers having to pay taxes to support wars. The question
is, how far can you push "religious freedom" to avoid the
responsibilities that have been assigned to everyone else by the
democratic process?

It's not a sharp line. The Court will decide if there is a "compelling
state interest," like they do when Muslim fundamentalists claim a
religious right to beat their wives.
