Record Inequality
 

Two data points; the top 400 richest Americans have more in assets than
the bottom 60% of the population, the top 1% owns more than the bottom
90% of the population.

That says two things; the rich have been getting richer all the time and
that regardless of how much they are paying in taxes it's not nearly
enough, and it says that the republican economic plan known as "Trickle
Down Economics" does not work as advertised. None of the benefits of
cutting the taxes and regulations on the rich ever make it down to the
rest of the people.

So the fact is the rich have been getting richer and if you're not one
of them you are probably now poorer than you were in 2000. If you're one
of the rich I can see that you would like the way things have gone. But
why do the rest of you? Following the republican economic plan has only
made you poorer.
