Yeah, and what would they impeach him for? Not following the advice of
the republicans? Ha! Why do you think we elected the guy? We wanted him
to do exactly what the republicans don't want him to do, and he's doing it.

Today he just forced the republicans to back down on the debt ceiling
battle. Mitch McConnell just said they would go along with what Obama
wanted. No cuts in spending at all. Just a raising of the debt ceiling.
Obama got them to do just what he wanted.

Your problem is that Obama is so far ahead of any of the republicans he
just runs circles around them. They can't lay a glove on the guy. So
count on having him running the country for the next six years, and you
know what? By the time he's done he'll have the country in really good
shape. Then the idiotic public will probably elect another republican
and he'll ruin it all just like Bush did after Clinton put us in good
condition.

Did you not hear what McConnell proposed to Obama? You have to
understand pretzel logic to get it. He wanted the congress to bass a
bill to basically agree not to raise the debt ceiling and Obama would
veto it. The effect of doing it this way would be to allow Obama to
raise the debt ceiling without it appearing that the republicans went
along with it. My citation is TV. I heard McConnell say this himself.

The bottom line is that now you are hearing the republicans saying the
debt ceiling will be raised. Obama is giving up nothing in spending cuts
and the republicans are still going to agree to raise the ceiling.
Now that Obama is saying he can't guarantee the troops or the seniors
will get their checks after 8/3 the pressure on the republicans to cave
in is so strong they have no choice but to go ahead and just raise the
debt ceiling. Like others have said, you don't spit in the wind and you
don't get between the grannies and their social security checks. Unless
you don't want to live.

let the debt ceiling get raised. Moody's warning about dropping our
credit rating was a wake up call. They know they have lost the battle
and they're just looking for a way where they don't look like they have
been totally beaten. This will not be easy. They lost on this one real bad.

And that is not true. They are still having meetings. The
Republicans may back down, but that has not happened so far. You said
they already had, and that is a lie.
