Stolen polo horse statue found -- in pieces -- at metal recycler

WPEC-CBS12.com PEMBROKE PARK, Fla. -- Police investigating the theft of a metal horse statue from a polo club found it in pieces at a nearby metal recycling yard. Broward County Sheriff's Office investigated the theft from Polo Club at 5590 W. Hallandale Beach Blvd. in Pembroke Park. After an initial report of the theft aired on local television news, detectives got a call from Rapid Metals Recycling at 5691 Plunkett St. in Hollywood. Employees there reported that someone had sold the sculpture as scrap and it had already been cut into pieces. The pieces have been taken by police as evidence in the case.
