is the group thinning out a little on the political idiots?

I guess it is a little bit silencing when someone hands you your head.

Well, there is that, of course.
Maybe the Gimme days are winding down?

The price of gold dropped big time yesterday.
Today it's back on track for $1400 and ounce.
But my impression is that the players have swapped positions?

so let me get this straight - are you rejoicing in the reduction in the
noise and chatter and cannot resist starting it all over again, or are
you in despair that the anger coefficient is declining and you feel an
urge to ramp it back up again

If you appreciate the silence, please respect it

Either that, or your filters are working. ;-)

Heh. ;-)

Unfortunately, The People's Republic of California has gone to the left - I
wonder if that's somehow related to the "Left Coast" appellation? ;-)

California isn't sinking into the ocean[1] - California is sinking into the
abyss of socialism.

Maybe the rest of the country could just go ahead and cede California to
Mexico - they've pretty much taken over anyway. And, of course, let the
socialists pay their own damn bills!

There is some sunshine in this.

Ive just heard from a friend..that the "divide california into 3 parts"
movement is being dusted off rather quickly

As are a number of long range varmint type weapons.

California could indeed...light off the Great Cull.

Ill be stocking extra batteries and finding a good comfortable lounging
chair that I can play the banjo in, to put on my front porch, very soon.

Im actually looking forwards to the coming "unpleasentness" that will be
t he result of California stepping up on the Socialist Bus.

We be living..in interesting times.

I've been watching that ship of state with interest. Businesses are baling
like rats off a sinking ship. Wetbacks are flocking there, believing that
Mexico will take if back with the sheer number of Mexicans there and the
newly elected and future elected politicians. Citizens with money are
baling and going to live somewhere that their money will last longer. There
isn't going to be enough taxpayers left unless they start taxing marijuana,
and that's coming in another election or two.

Should turn into a yuppie ghost town soon. But the landscaping will
continue to look nice.

The screaming outrage from the Left is starting to pick up..as the shock
wears off. It will continue for humm about 3 more weeks and then drop
into nothing as they crawl back into their holes..then pick back up
again in January as the Republicans actually start doing Stuff.

Get used to it.

Shrug. Its nothing more than the twisting and spasming of a brain shot

It is really unfortunate that all the constitutionalists in this group
have such little regard for the democratic process. Elections were
held, votes were cast and counted. We got what we deserved. Right
wingers are giddy. Left wingers are not. Move along.

As for those who notice that the level of off-topic political postings
have dropped - I thought you had all leftists killfiled. If so, how
would you know what's been posted? If you are interested in real
discussion, you might start by actually reading what your opposition
writes.

I see political bull**** as continuing completely unabated.

I also do not see Republican gains as being as monumental as some here
apparently are perceiving.

Policy wise, I do not see big changes, and I do not expect big reforms
coming in the next two years. What Democrats promised to the
electorate in 2008, has been mostly done to a large extent. The next
two years will see little action, as Republicans in the House would
not effect a lot of changes.

Agreed - though if the rightists want to participate in real
discussion, they ought to actually read the posts by those that they
(claim to) have killfiled. Otherwise, both sides are simply making
noise, hollering at the wind. And ****ing off those who think that
this is actually a metalworking group.

The Republican gains were far smaller than those in Clinton's first
midterm. But don't confuse people with facts.

When the party leadership has stated in no uncertain terms that they

Our two states dug themselves deeper into socialism this time around.
Whatcha gonna do when Moonbeam more thoroughly screws the pooch?

Larry, Isn't the problem all the "expat californications" that moved
to Oregon??? :-) Washington also.

Down here in SoOr, we must be 70% thick, at least, because Dudley got
70% of the Josephine County vote. Y'see, all the ex-pat CA folks I
know are decidedly conservative. And since I don't hang around
Portland and the libby loos, I have no idea where they hail from.
That's an interesting question, though. Maybe we can find out why
they're here, diminish the availability of that here, and find
something in some -other- state to draw them away. Thanks, Lew!

Ackshully, the problem is that large cities breed liberals.

Now New Mexico has a different problem. :-(

Yeah, all non-ex-pat Sonorans, Oaxacans, etc.

Its just another form of pollution. Like bad air, crappy water, smelly
streets and bums begging change and trying to molest little children and
old ladies

results." - John Tucci,
