Thanx Wild Bill. Looking at the small stuff was refreshing after working on the brake on my 13 x 40
MSC lathe. My arms and hands ache from reaching into the stand to get at the brake assembly. Back
aches from getting up and down on the concrete floor looking for a "fit" among regular and metric
wrenches.

Ya gotta appreciate being able to pick up a machine and turn it over, or
lift it up to see if what you're looking for is underneath it.

Some of those older models of mini machines appear to have been made to
close tolerances.

I've been getting very good results for years, by taking fish oil softgels
for hand pains (1k to 2k mg per day).

The new mini 7x12 lathe I bought (I forget, just when) hasn't even been used
yet, weighs under 80 lbs, I guess. If I just don't drop it on my feet, it
should be fairly painless to use and repair.

I dunno who was including it in their posts, but it really hits a nerve
now.. getting old is not for pussies.
