Las Vegas, Nevada. Federal Building. A Social Security recipient, upset
about a cut in benefits came into the building with a shotgun under his
coat. Before it was all over, a security guard was dead, a U.S. Marshall
was wounded, and the perp was dead.

Lots of people with no hope living on subsistence levels who might be dead
in six months are going to be wanting to fight the beast. Especially when
they get the letter telling them that their benefits have been reduced or
cancelled.

It's the next thing to receive a PC label. Just to insure that it doesn't
have a derogatory meaning, and therefore the people involved don't feel bad
about themselves.

Steve

RIP - The dead SO was a retired Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Sergeant, 66
years old, who had given of himself his whole career.

Take a hard look in the mirror, nitwit. You've become every bit the
crackpot as gardner, gummer, and editor. And what happened to your new
years resolutions? 4 days into the year and you're starting off-topic
threads and advertising your inability to think. Congratulations, and
I hope you enjoy stewing in your wet dreams of societal collapse, and
in your frustration as the years pass with none of your fantasies
coming true. It's going to be fun to watch you idiots keep announcing
"it's starting" over and over again every time a crime takes place.

Start making and selling POG's cast from wheel weights Ed.
You can market them as stealth supplies for bullet molds and you'll be both

Aw MAN, Ed, you are gonna just LOVE this guy...
He's ended the recession all by himself.

My favorite part is when he asks Amazon for a 1% Amazon credit for his trouble

To see what would happen, Brian Klug tried to buy a CD-ROM on Amazon of an
instructional science program mispriced at $2,875,934,133.57 (plus shipping).
What happened is that he bought it. Sounds like something similar as to what
happened with those $23 quadrillion Visa errors where binary zeroes became
hexadecimal spaces instead.

means. I think the best way of doing good to the poor, is not
making them easy in poverty, but leading or driving them out of
it. In my youth I travelled much, and I observed in different
countries, that the more public provisions were made for the
poor the less they provided for themselves, and of course became
poorer. And, on the contrary, the less was done for them, the
more they did for themselves, and became richer." -- Benjamin

If you've looked around, you see that there are quite a few economists
saying "don't stop now, fer chrissake." Unlike Congress, they know what
happened in 1937, and they don't want to see a repeat.

They can't seem to get in into their heads that what got us out of the
Depression was the biggest make-work, deficit-spending, money-printing
stimulus of all time: World War II.

interesting show on pbs late last night "The War of the World". this
episode was about the cold war, how super powers had proxies fight their
wars for them. the thing about this episode that struck me was you got the
feeling that ethnic rivalries figured into a large part of the wars the
narrator described (genocides in rwanda, yugoslavia, cambodia). it was
scary. he laid out the conditions that spawned ethnic flare ups. economic
collapse was large among them. i thought of some of the discussions here.
i think the program was dated 2007. he was saying the people at teh edges
of empire suffer the worst. made me wonder if the middle east would be
considered being at the edge of empire.

Default OT It's NOT JUST starting, Maybe You Just Noticed

As much as I dislike non-metalworking posts, paricularly ones that aren't
even marked OT:, there are a few details that maybe should be stated.

As there are some retirees, or others close to retirement, that participate
in RCM, some other info may be worthwhile.

This isn't a new event. Another shot-gun-type incident took place in
Pittsburgh a few years ago. The firearm was described as some sort of
fabricated or improvised weapon. One or 2 agency personnel shot at
point-blank range as they sat at a table with the claimant (also an older
man, IIRC).

The number of armed security at a regional Social Security location (federal
building type of environment) are probably greater than anywhere else the
public might visit, wih exception of military bases, airports and LEO
agencies, or possibly courthouses.

When I saw a uniformed, armed man at a local SS office a few years ago (as I
passed by to go to another office in the same building), I thought he might
have been a cop checking into his SS account.
After another visit to the same building, he was present again. Not a cop, a
full-time armed security gaurd (SS office in a small city).

At the time, I recall trying to remember the last time I saw an armed gaurd
at a bank, but wasn't able to, it had been so long.

From the number of folks that I'm familiar with that have needed to resort
to disability benefits, the claimants are seen as adversaries of the SS
system (The Government).

Odd, I thought, as we were taught in school that SS is an insurance
program.. pay in during your working years, and withdraw at retirement, or
in case of a debilitating injury or disabiliy.

In recent weeks, I've read and heard on the news that the AARP claimed that
it's members were in favor of retirement benefits cuts. Right.
The most frequent problem reported by senior citizens, for years, has been
that they can't afford their medications. But AARP says seniors/members
approve benefit cuts.
Let's not talk about the old folks that are found dead, frozen to the floor,
that have been eating garbage to survive, as those would be labeled as
hoaxes.
Maybe some ederly folks just can't afford the AARP membership fees.

One would definitely not want to become unable to work without the resources
to live on today.
Some folks may have to get to a warm climate and find a cozy space under a
bridge that's not already occupied, and be prepared to defend it.

But..there is lots of beer, and lots of Mt Dew..and we can make more
urine.

I can see it now..as conservatives retire..and go on vactions..they will
stop at famous mass graves..such as Oakland, or DC..and get nicely
loaded in celebration and then **** on the tops of the mass graves
covering thousands of Leftwingers. Beer in one hand..dick in the other
as they celebrate the end of the Bad Period in American history, where
Lefwingers nearly destroyed America..but were brought down and destroyed
by The People.

When I retire..Ill bring Mt. Dew..and **** on Every mass grave I can
make it to. Glorious..absolutely Glorious!

Nope. Its not all of us. Its simply the Left. Everyone else has
gotten along pretty nicely for most of American history, sharing the
same values, same love of country, love of nation etc etc.

The American hating Leftists however..have done everything they can do
to destroy not only the Constitution, but our freedoms, our hopes, our
dreams, our very way of life and set up a Socialist/Marxist totalitarian
state where once a free and open nation once was.

Im sure you remember that part of the Oath we both have taken..that
mentions "protect and defend against all enemies of the Constitution,
both foreign and domestic"

Shrug...once they have been defeated, killed in mass...the nation can
get back to recovering from its 40 yrs of sinking decline..and become a

I fear for my country...

I dont. I know the People. While they are slow to rise.."when they
awaken..their fury will be a thing to behold"...as Yamamoto so well
said.

It wont be pretty, it wont be nice, it will be nasty nasty
nasty..but..it has to be done, or America is finished.

And the People are becoming more and more aware of it.

The Great Cull is indeed coming.

And Ive been promised videos!!

Here's Tom and Gunner, talking about the left "shouting hate," while they
fantasize about "snuffing" them and hanging them with barbed wire. g

It's not just the people you think you hate that are at risk, folks.

It's ALL of us.

We have become so fragmented that it would be (is being?) real easy to
distract the masses with dragons and sub-species.

Nope. Its not all of us. Its simply the Left. Everyone else has
gotten along pretty nicely for most of American history, sharing the
same values,

Oh, I see. You imagine yourself in some admirable group that shares
the values of 101 flavors of irresponsibility, such as ignoring debts,
pathological lying, and a lifestyle guaranteed to maximize your cost
to society.

same love of country, love of nation etc etc.

.... and your group demonstrates this "love" of country by promoting
treason and anarchy.

Shrug...once they have been defeated, killed in mass...the nation can
get back to recovering from its 40 yrs of sinking decline..and become a
great nation again.

Seriously, man, you need some form of mental-health intervention. But
apparently nobody thinks enough of you to help, so we'll have to wait
for natural selection to end your misery. Maybe next time you write
about going hungry and having your power turned off for nonpayment,
somebody can start a thread titled "it's starting".

"I am for doing good to the poor, but I differ in opinion of the

No, not always. But this is a no-brainer. People like you have been
preaching doom forever. Just the other night I saw some clips of a
Dakota nutjob spouting the same baloney you're so fond of. He was
adamant that the collapse of society was going to happen any day, and

telling us it would come last June, and only weeks ago gummer said
that "it was starting" when some cops got shot. But you idiots refuse

I don't think Iggy is a leftwinger, and for sure I know I am not.

Of course to those of the faux news persuasion, anyone towards the
center compared to hannity, beck, etc. is a flaming liberal. Indeed,
that was uncle rupert's stated purpose in starting fox news.

As inevitable as you see these things, I certainly hope you don't
think any of what you are talking about is right or good.
If you do, I suggest it would be better if the culling went the other
way, as destructive as the left can be they at least don't think that
greatness can be achieved by killing off those that dissent.

If you've looked around, you see that there are quite a few economists
saying "don't stop now, fer chrissake." Unlike Congress, they know
what happened in 1937, and they don't want to see a repeat.

They can't seem to get in into their heads that what got us out of the
Depression was the biggest make-work, deficit-spending, money-printing
stimulus of all time: World War II.

I read his last editorial.

interesting show on pbs late last night "The War of the World". this
episode was about the cold war, how super powers had proxies fight their
wars for them. the thing about this episode that struck me was you got
the feeling that ethnic rivalries figured into a large part of the wars
the narrator described (genocides in rwanda, yugoslavia, cambodia). it
was scary. he laid out the conditions that spawned ethnic flare ups.
economic collapse was large among them. i thought of some of the
discussions here. i think the program was dated 2007. he was saying the
people at teh edges of empire suffer the worst. made me wonder if the
middle east would be considered being at the edge of empire.

So people of the 'wrong' ideology will be on the ground, beaten by

No. Where did you get that foolish idea?

The People themselves will simply rise up and kill the enemies of the
United States. Leftwingers will be decimated. The Constitution will be
restored and all will be well. With luck..during the Great Cull...the
soldiers will simply guard their bases and stay out of it. Lets both
hope they do. Because if they dont..keep in mind that 80% of the
military is conservative and when they kill their enemies...cities are
destroyed.

"I come in peace, I didn't bring artillery. But I am pleading
with you with tears in my eyes: If you **** with me, I'll kill you

Marine General James Mattis, to Iraqi tribal leaders

OTOH, with today's precision weapons, you don't have to flatten
the city. You an, and with the application of less effort than
before, but you don't have to.

Look at the photos of Europe's cities, 1945. Compare them to the
cities after the Mongols came through in the 13th century. The main
difference is that the Horde was more labor intensive, and were able
to provide "personal service" to the living before they became the
dead.
