Is this a real story? I haven't taken the time to check it out. Sure would be a nice
piece if true.

Why do you say "Leno, of all people", Ed? He has more obscure
machinery (in his classic autos) than most _countries_. He also
bought a 3-D printer which helps him make replacement parts for same.
The man's a mega metal monger, mon. Of course, if I made $30+ million
a year, I'd own that equipment and collect cars, too.

I never stayed up often enough to see Leno but what little I saw of the guy, he seemed
like a class act. Of course, Johnny and McMann were also class acts.

From the last show, after he said "I didn't lose any ratings - so
I get my deposit back", Leno was asked about his legacy. And he said,
I thought about this, and the number of couples who met working on the
show, and so that's my legacy - and the curtain opened and there were
all the children of all those who had met and married working on his
show. Now that's a legacy.

There is a reason Letterman never got the nod.

Letterman started out funny, but became too much the cynic.
Knocking up his girlfriend at an age most men are thinking about grand
kids didn't help.
