Some interesting things here include accusations of firing Alaska
officials as part of revenge campaign against a former brother in law,
various family immoralities, and so on. That calls in question
judgment of Sen. McCain and promises a fun election campaign.

Apparently, McCain had to reject some more experienced and influential
candidates due their abortion stance, opposed by the anti-abortion
constituents of GOP.

When he met Palin, McCain was very impressed. ``He had his first
face-to-face interview with her on Thursday and offered her the job
moments later.''

I believe you should stop this series of off-topic-for-group
posts. They have nothing to do with metalworking, are of no
benefit to the group, and each of them wastes a few seconds of
my time when I kill the thread.

Political posts are off-topic in rec.crafts.metalworking.
Everyone will get more than enough political bunkum in the
next few months from other sources and should not have to put
up with it in r.c.m also.

Hey guys! Give Iggy a break, ok? He was only concerned that the nominee wasn't wearing a burka.

The right wingers want to know why it's so important for us to know more
about Palin and about McCain's method of decision making regarding her
choice for vice president. They would like us to just let it go and only
focus on the positive things about her like they do. We're looking for a
president here and how he does things and what he does is important. In this
case it is looking like McCain made a snap judgment about someone he didn't
know enough about. That indicates a lack of judgment on his part. It's
things like this that give a glimpse of what someone would be like if they
had the power of the presidency at hand. At this point it looks like McCain
made a poor choice, which I said right from the start, and it looks like his
choice has a lot of things that would make her an inappropriate choice to be
a vice president. Of course, we could all just say nice things and make a
big fuss about what a great choice Palin is like the right wing is doing.
But that isn't going to happen because we're not all yes men like they are.
