OH! Is all of Antartic ice melting? (not)


No, 10% (an ice shelf) shows signs of melting while the other 90% puts
on more ice depth. Meanwhile, since they started keeping accurate data
on it (130 years now), the temp in Punta Arenas (city closest to
Antarctica) has varied a wee bit, DOWN 0.6 degree C between 1880 and
2003. See the chart in _State of Fear_, page 190. (The source
reference, niss.nasa.gov, is no longer valid.)
