Default 4000 and counting

Good point on those dying on highways or from AIDS. 4,000 dead
soldiers is a big number, but it is in some ways not "too big".

During WWII, if I recall correctly, Nazi Germany lost about 2,000
soldiers dead per day on Eastern front alone (where they sustained 80%
of total casualties). They did run out of soldiers eventually, but we
are not in danger of that at the current rate.

The damage from the Iraq war is not just 4,000 dead volunteer
soldiers (and a substantial number of contractors, not counted).

The damage is also billions of dollars spent on the war, the rise of
muslim extremism in Iraq, increased oil prices (arguably what Bush
wanted to give to his oil business contributors), ruined reputation of
the US, and substantial damage to the military readiness,a nd a huge
amount of lost equipment, which I am not even sure is properly
accounted for.

As we can see from the news, the cluster**** is continuing unabated.
