Default Clausing Colchester 15" late feed knob came out, help!

Hi Guys,

I have a 15" CC Model 8000and the knob that you pull to change from
regular feed to facing came out in my hand. I have the book, and it
shows that as the C knob. It has two snap rings and a spacer and a
gear on it. My question is what is the easiest way to get it apart to
repair it? Do I need to remove the saddle? Do I need to just remove
the apron? Anybody have any experience with this? Thanks in
advance! Dave.
