Last week, the Clark County Health Department sent out 40,000 letters to
people who were former patients to come in and be tested for hepatitis and
HIV. I was one of them.

I don't know what they charge for a colonoscopy. But then they cheap out on
a syringe?

And it seems like there won't be a lot of punishment after all the furor
subsides, as always. Protected corporations, LLCs, doctors shielded from
malpractice by caps.

Intentional murderous behavior.

The average street punk would be punished harsher.

Our society is in decay, folks. Plan for your future, whatever you believe.

lawsuit for psychological damage.

Perhaps, but 40,000 plaintiffs can mount one hell of a legal attack
and breach a lot of legal boilerplate. Even boilerplate has its
limits. It may not do each individual plaintiff much good, but it
certainly could serve to take out the malfeasors completely and
permanently.

Perhaps not intentional, but certainly depraved indifference. If
anyone dies as a result of this, someone will pay for it if there is a
prosecutor in Nevada that can fog a mirror. That's obviously and
unfortunately of no help to the victim(s), but it still must be
done.

It does seem to be. Greed has been around forever, but only recently
has it become an accepted and sometimes valued behavior in the USA.

promised rebates on some computer stuff.....

the section called RICO [racketeering influenced and corrupt
organizations] Act which allows both criminal and civil actions.
As this most likely involved Medicare funds the Feds should have
been on this like a chicken on a june bug.

Was down in Vegas yesterday. My SIL is a sergeant with Metro. He says
Metro and the FBI are all over this because of the RICO statutes. And it
seems there was a LOT of Medicare fraud amongst the patients. (by the
doctors, of course) We'll see. Now that the air is clearing, it seems that
there were only a few particular days when patients who were contagious had
contact with other patients through shared equipment. One quoter in the
local paper said none of them should be allowed to practice medicine another
day in their lives, nurses included. I agree.

Sheesh, who woulda thought they could **** up just looking up your asshole?
