Metalworking Saves Lives...

800kb+ PowerPoint slide presentation. 500lb. explosive charge goes off under a vehicle and the armor plating saved everyone. Only the driver had an injury... Broken ribs from the steering wheel. I'm sure they all had ear problems, but that's to be expected when you are in a metal box and a huge explosion goes off under you... It's interesting the way that the blast ejected the engine from the front of the truck, but left the passenger compartment unharmed. This was in Iraq I assume? Best wishes, Chris |

This was in Iraq I assume? This is what the original post I read about it said: *** START *** 800kb PowerPoint file showing a 500lb bomb vs. a properly designed and armored personnel carrier. http://www.chicago106miles.com/zen/MRAP-Incicent.pps Damn glad to hear we're making headway in protecting folks this way. *** END *** I wish I had more info... -- Regards, Joe Agro, Jr. (800) 871-5022 01.908.542.0244 Automatic / Pneumatic Drills: http://www.AutoDrill.com Multiple Spindle Drills: http://www.Multi-Drill.com V8013-R |
