George, your full of yourself. Read "The Wages of Destruction" for a
better understanding. The Germans decided to follow an idea of volkish
workers performing labor that was fitting and proper. Hitler chose
inefficient manufacturing techniques.

In the end, outdated theoretical ideas managed to get a bunch of
terrified people killed. Why do you want anyone to believe that
theoretical ideas are going to save US industry?

This seems to be confusing production capacity with product
capability.

From everything I have read, German weapons design in general was
surpurb, far outclassing any allied equivilants with the
exception of the Mustang long-range escort fighter and M-1 rifle.

German heavy armor far outclassed any western tanks and the
Tiger/Panther tanks were surpassed only when the Leopard [German]
and the US MBT was introduced. The Soviet T-34 appears to have
been a good tank, but far from capable of going one on one with a
Tiger. The many Soviet successes in armored warfare appear to
have been due to vastly superior numbers, i.e. quantitative
rather than qualative superiority. The American Sherman was far
outclassed, and a single Sherman stood no change against a
Tiger/Panther.

German defeat in WW2 appears to have been due to a combination of
factors including severe shortages of liquid fuel [gasoline],
critically limited weapons *PRODUCTION* capacity (i.e. quantity),
and gross errors in leadership judgement in setting grand
strategy objectives and occupation policies.

This should be sounding a very loud warning klaxon in another
time and place.....

Thanks for your personal advise, but I never found it necessary to move
my lips to help concentrate like you do.

My answer was right to the heart of your gasbag diatribe. Hitler chose
some pseudo-pop culture concerning the "people" and "work" which came
back to kill lots of his own people. At least Hitler had the decency to
kill himself after leading his fellow Germans astray. Maybe you should
emulate him, since to you, your fellow Americans are unworthy.

You need to work on your reading comprehension skills. Just what
is unclear about "gross errors in leadership judgement in setting
grand strategy objectives and occupation policies"?

If you want a sermon on morals try rec.gasbag.sermons or attend
the church, mosque, etc. of your choice.

George, why don't you use concrete language? You couldn't pin down the
"workers paradise" fantasy if you connected the dots in ALL of your huge
library. Your language is very vague, and based on your former posts, is
nothing but a thinly veiled shot at Bush.

If you want a sermon on morals try rec.gasbag.sermons or attend

If you feel the urge to be shriven for your sins, please go to the
religion of your choice. I did not care about morals, but was directly
addressing why the German leadership flubbed things up and in the
process, took a whole bunch of citizens with them. They obviously did
not understand the DIME and the absolute need for Economic power.

Something your socialist buddies either don't understand, or worse, do
understand. If they dork up the economy, it's sort of hard to pay for 12
battle groups, a bunch of fly high types, and us ground pounders.
