Storage for small things, nuts, bolts, . . .
O.K., any recommendations for something that can be bought & mounted
to the wall to store nuts, bolts, anything capable of sitting into small spaces? Been looking around the Internet for a while and just nothing that fits my needs for an affordable price. Thanks for any suggestions. |

For small stuff I have been buying the plastic containers at Harbor Freight when they are on sale or when the email coupons discount them. Be sure to get the ones with REAL: hinges...not the folded over plastic type. TMT |

Been looking around the Internet for a while and just nothing that fits my needs for an affordable price. Thanks for any suggestions. How small? I use the standard multi tray organizers for stuff up to about 10-32 size. From that up I have a wall covered with the gray HF storage bins. Tagged with sizes from #12 through 1" and sorted by size/material/length. They go on sale all the time and are low priced but surprisingly sturdy. Then went to a Jo-Ann fabrics and picked up some 20 Ga. clear vinyl and made a drop over cover that keeps the dust and shop crud from collecting in the bins. -- Steve W. Near Cooperstown, New York |

I use a large set of surplus Acro-bins and their proprietary wall and bench mounted racks. They aren't cheap new, about $80 for a bench mount rack and about 20 bins, but if you can find a set surplus, they're hard to beat. |

Been looking around the Internet for a while and just nothing that fits my needs for an affordable price. Thanks for any suggestions. From my pipe smoking days, I have about 80 half pound tobacco tins. these fit, three to a space between the studs of the dividing wall in my basement (sheeted on the other side). I ran horizontal strapping to support each row of cans. Labels are 2 x14 inch large type (printed landscape on legal paper) held on and kept clean with clear packing tape. When I was in a garage, I built a framework on the block wall. Other covered cans such as one pound coffee cans or nut cans will work as well. I avoid glass jars at all cost.
