parts for Atlas drill press??
 
a friend of mine was given a Atlas model 74 drill press and it needs a
quill. Does anyone know where to get one? Thanks,

I don't know for sure, but you can try Clausing Service Center.
Last time I bought from them was t005, and their phone number then was:

1(574) 533-0371

Be prepared with the model number and the serial number, and they can
probably sell you a photocopy of the manual matched to the serial, and
cheerfully send along a price list for the parts. (At least it was that
way with my 12x24" Clausing lathe.) Atlas and Clausing merged sometime
in the past.

If they don't have it -- you'll have to haunt eBay looking for
someone parting one out. Probably just get a replacement head,
including the quill.
