Default ?? about Lincoln 255 mig & spool gun

I am interested in buying a Lincoln 255C mig welder and was curious if
anyone has either of the two spool guns and what the diff. is between
them likes/dislikes etc.. The one spool gun is a Magnum SG and the
other is the Magnum 250LX, the first one requires an adapter ($85) and
is about $500, the second one plugs directly in and is about $900 I
am told. Any input would be great. Thanks, Craig
