Ha-ha-ha. I'll choose *later,* even if it means I have to use real butter.

Reminds me of 'way back when anti-smoking was getting started and one of
the promoters said something, in all seriousness, like "All smokers will
die of lung cancer, if they don't die of something else first". Which
sounds OK, but is really meaningless - it's true for everything (you'll
die from drinking water if you don't die from something else first).

Worrying about things that might kill you may kill you faster than not
worrying about a thing.

And no matter what else, having long lived parents in your genitics beats
the crap out of being a health nut.

I guy I worked with told me once that is mom died in her forties, his dad
the same, his grandpa also. All from natural causes. He asked me what I
thought, sometimes I say just what I'm thinking w/o socialising thinking, my
response was, "Don't put too much in your 401K". I wish I had said
something different.

The odds are that smoking will shorten life. No one argues smoking is
healthy.

As far as drinking water, I remember a story back in the 70's where a
disturbed lady killed herself by drinking massive amounts of water. IIRC it
was in the 8 gallon a day range.

Take nothing to excess, live long and prosper.

I'm 57 now an have smoked for 40 years.

I quit 13 weeks ago, (it was getting to be time) and I can honestly tell
you that I can feel the difference already.

I don't know if I'll live any longer because I don't smoke anymore,
but I suspect I'll be a LOT more comfortable until them...

For what it's worth.

Carrots is just a smoke screen. it was all the spinach that killed
them. Those sneaky spinach growers just stuffed their mouths full of
carrots after they died.
