Making four small tables for the packing line today...

I'm using 304 SS. The stock looks pretty clean but I'm sure I'll have some
weld burns and scratches by the time I'm done.

what the best way to end up with a perfect polish on the table top?

Karl,
There are a lot of items available for polishing and finishing
stainless steel as well as other materials. The cheapest and best way
would be to buy a kit as an attachment to an angle grinder that gives
you a disc attachment with polishing discs that can be attached. The
discs go from a rough finish to a smooth finish and included is the
polish used for finishing. I am in the UK so I don't know what part of
the world you are in but I guarantee, the same product will be
available somewhere near you.
The one I am speaking of cost me about £10-00.
I hope this helps.
Best regards,
Anthony.

I've only used this a couple of times but it works pretty well.
