Anyone have a centrifuge for sale for w.v.o.
This may or may not be any help, however, if properly constructed a
centrifuge would both dewater and clean WVO at the same time. Both the solids and water or heavier than the oil and would, in a properly built centrifuge, be cast to the outer perimeter of the "spin cycle". This would leave very clean and very dry oil behind. The goal is to get one that spins the water and soilids to an outside chamber and allow the device to wick it away like a seeder/destemmer would seperate the waste from the fruit. It has been suggested to me to get a dairy centrifuge. A hand operated one could be used for small amounts OR it might be used to design a larger motor driven unit. There are larger automated units available, but they might be cost prohibitive. Jay |

Try looking at http://www.machineryandequipment.com/index.asp
They carry used commercial equipment. I wouold look under dairy equipment for centrifuges or seperators or look at the desludgers they carry. There is even one in California that was reconditioned and used by a WVOer. Jay |

Jay There was someone from a filtering company on one of the boat groups a day or so ago describing the centrifuge that his company builds for, what appeared to be, yachts. Do a search on the archives, I believe the subject was fuel filters. Bruce in Bangkok (brucepaigeATgmailDOTcom) |
