Unknown Al. alloy

I glommed on to a couple of chunks of an unknown aluminum. 6 1/2" in dia.
about 5 " thick, a biscuit sawn from a thick plate, judging from the finish.
It came from an auction with some car parts. The only ID is an order # and
the phrase, "M-1 aluminum mold plate" Anyone have an idea of what alloy this
might be?
TIA
Tom
