knows what this thing is, let me know so I can update the listing. And
of course, if you want this thing, feel free to bid on it -

At a minimum, it has a very nice industirial duty bodine motor with
very long shafts that would be good for another project.

That's neat. An electron microscope, along with a boat, a teleprinter
and a big telescope, is one of those crazy but probably pointless
things I'd like to own :-).

then quick, buy this stupid thing - it's a lot cheaper than a WHOLE
microscope and you can still claim you are "in process" of getting one
and I'll bet it can be used for cutting carbon electrodes for other
purposes as well.... or probably to sharpen pencils
