Pimp my scale or:The YADRO-Files, part 1
Hi!
I thought you might be interested in this: I bought a el cheapo digital scale and played a bit with it. I have found a simple way to get some more modes out of it. This is only the first part of a longer (also in means of time) project. Here's the link: http://www.motor-manufaktur.de/werkstatt/09_yadro/en_index.html If you have any comments, suggestions or questions, ask them here. Enjoy, Nick -- Motor Modelle // Engine Models http://www.motor-manufaktur.de |

but I'm amused to see that there may be features that are not advertised :-). I _guess_ that all have them. The chip will be the same, they do have an application note with PCB-layout to copy from. Very enjoyable reading. BTW, when you wrote [the "YADRO"-emiga.] I think you might have meant to spell the english word 'enigma'. Every time I see the word enigma I'm reminded of the electromechanical cipher machine of that name used by Germany during WWII. There's a pretty good description of it he http://traumwerk.stanford.edu:3455/MichaelShanks/348 Jeff -- Jeffry Wisnia (W1BSV + Brass Rat '57 EE) "Truth exists; only falsehood has to be invented." |

Greetings Nick, I tried to get that button working on some scales that have virtually identical circuit boards. Thanks for the pointer. That's fine if it helped someone. However, there is another way to get there. The three circuit board traces, Data, Clock, and Battery Positive can be switched together in certain sequences to put the scale in different modes. But I have described this. OK, just in two sentences, so I will have to emphasize it. I'll do that. MAX MODES: [snipp] There seems to be one more mode. Will have to check, whether my scale has the same functionality. Nick -- Motor Modelle // Engine Models http://www.motor-manufaktur.de |
