power washer, Coleman + Honda

Pep Boys (mid-Atlantic chain) is offering a good deal on a 2200PSI
Coleman power washer with a Honda engine. I've seen very negative
Coleman recommendations and very positive Honda recommendations. Is
this unit likely to be good due to Honda engine or are there other
critical parts such as pump, compressor that may be lousy making this a
bad choice?

I would suspect that the only thing that Coleman made, or outsourced to
be made, is the chassis to hold the engine and pump.

The weak part is not the engine, its the cheap pumps the
slap on them. IF you use it lightly for stuff around the house
they will probably last a good while.

pressure washers don't have compressors. actually the honda engines used w/
those are low end hondas. Though i can't recall ever having a problem w/ them
when fixing the pumps. The biggest ? you have is how much are you gonna use
this . If yer gonna clean your driveway 1 month then car engine next monnth any
of those brands will do. But if yer gonna be detailing and whatever using it
2+days a week save $ in the end by paying more now for a real pump like CAT or
GENERAL or INNERPUMP 1 of these pumps will outlast 4-8 of the others. and when
it finally does crap out it's servicable .
