Default Two technicians are discussing a wire harness

Two technicians are discussing a wire harness construction: Technician A
says that connector #1 is the male connector because the while plastic
connector fits inside the connector #2. Technician B says that connector
number #2 is the male connector because it has male terminal pins
inside. Who is correct?

Neither, that question has always been controversial.

Its even worse with a BNC connector.

Neither.

To be PC in these genderless times, such electrical items are to be
refered to as plugs or sockets.

Haven't heard yet what to call pipe fittings ;-)

Maybe internal and external might work.

Yeah, something ain't right. No consistency. The Capitol thing smells because there is no explanation
that I've seen.
I meant to copy a picture of this for Mickey https://www.valleyindoor.com/Yellow-Male-120v-15amp-Cord-Ends.html
but didn't hit the trackpad hard enough.

Black cop shooting an unarmed white woman, it's all good.

Even that ******* only got 12 years rather than being returned to
Somalia in a box. Funny how there were no riots.

Agree, that's the electrical interface that's connecting, not the housing for the pins.

The military is cracking down. Emergency response vehicle manufacturers use a
****load of them so he better order now because there is only 8 left. Use them
to connect the cab to chassis electricals.

I noticed the one prong was rotated. I think it would keep him amused for maybe
a week? Then he would ask here for the best pliers to rotate the socket
