TERRY v OHIO Cops can stop and frisk you on "suspicion" that you may be about to do something illegal BERKEMER v. McCARTY Cop can ask questions on a traffic stop without Miranda warnings. MARYLAND v. WILSON Everyone can be required to get out and be searched. The list goes on but you see where this is going. OTOH they can just shoot you and say you made a furtive move. That is more likely if you are black tho. Your real rights start when you get to the station and call your lawyer. Up until then it is your word against theirs. Who do you think gets believed?
